NRECA Co-op Cyber Tech 2024, held June 11-13 in Arlington, Virginia, was the third annual cybersecurity event organized by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) for America's 900+ electric cooperatives serving 42 million people. The three-day technical conference featured three general sessions, four pre-conference workshops, and 30 breakout sessions spanning OT security, IT security, and management topics including threat analysis, AI's impact on cybersecurity, incident response, and building cybersecurity programs on limited budgets. The event also incorporated interactive elements such as capture-the-flag challenges and a cyber science fair designed to foster collaboration between IT and OT professionals.
